What We’re Looking For We want to connect with Cloud Engineers who demonstrate expertise in a broad range of core skills and experience, including but not limited to: • Strong programming skills (ideally in Python) with experience in building scalable applications. • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred), including deployment and management of web applications. • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (eg. Terraform), including best practices for modular development. • Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g. pytest) and writing robust test suites. • Proficient in DevOps tools and workflows (eg. CI/CD pipelines, Git/GitHub). • Comfortable working in agile software development environments, with a focus on iterative delivery and collaboration. • Background in computational, numerate, or life sciences is beneficial but not essential. What You Might Be Doing As a Cloud Engineer at GSK, you could get involved with: • Developing and maintaining software and infrastructure for web applications. • Integrating AI/ML components with frontend, backend, data, and compute infrastructure. • Ensuring high-quality software delivery through automated testing, documentation, and adherence to best practices. • Monitoring and improving key performance metrics for tools and services. • Participating in code reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement of team standards and practices. • Collaborating with data engineers and technical staff across teams to build end-to-end data pipelines. • Supporting deployment workflows and contributing to the evolution of cloud architecture and infrastructure.
