Hi We have a job opportunity Cloud Migration Storage Specialist with our client for long term remote contract, please send the resume to sunilg.in@mouritech.com Job Profile: Cloud Migration & Storage Specialist (Consultant) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Cloud Migration & Storage Specialist to support and guide the migration of applications from AWS to Azure, with a strong focus on storage architecture challenges. This consultant will help design, execute, and optimize migration strategies, including transition from traditional file shares to Azure Blob Storage and potentially Azure Files or other alternatives. Key Responsibilities Assist on ongoing migration activities and address different challenges relate to application compatibility with Azure blob storage. Define and document migration approaches, including risk analysis and fallback strategies. Plan phased or big-bang migration cutovers depending on application dependencies. Storage Architecture & Implementation Evaluate and configure Azure Files and Blob Storage solutions, including permissions and access control models. Set up or advise on hybrid solutions (e.g., Blobfuse, file gateways) if required. Security & Governance Design secure access strategies, including RBAC, managed identities, and shared access signatures (SAS). Support policy and compliance alignment (e.g., data residency, encryption, audit requirements). Training & Knowledge Transfer Provide knowledge transfer workshops to internal engineering, ops, and application teams. Document architecture and operational runbooks. Required Skills & Experience Cloud Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with Azure storage services (Blob Storage, Azure Files, Azure NetApp Files). Migration Experience: Proven track record of large-scale application and data migrations between clouds, ideally AWS → Azure. Storage Protocol Knowledge: Strong understanding of SMB, NFS, object storage semantics. Familiarity with hybrid solutions like Blobfuse, File Sync, and on-prem file gateways. Security & Identity: Experience implementing storage-level security and permissions, including Azure AD integration and NTFS ACL considerations. Scripting & Automation:Proficient in scripting migration and automation workflows (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python). Nice to Have Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Familiarity with hybrid and multi-cloud network design. Experience with large enterprise compliance environments (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
