Cloud-Native Engineer

Job Description: Cloud-Native Engineer – Kubernetes, GoLang & ArgoCD Location: Dallas, TX (Preferred) | Remote option available Employment Type: Contract About the Role We are seeking an experienced Cloud-Native Engineer with strong expertise in Kubernetes, GoLang, and ArgoCD to join our team on a contract basis. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying scalable cloud-native applications while ensuring automation, security, and reliability across the platform. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain microservices and backend systems using GoLang. • Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters in production environments. • Implement and manage ArgoCD for GitOps-based deployments. • Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery. • Monitor and optimize system performance using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry. • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner. • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and operations teams to deliver cloud-native solutions. Required Skills & Experience • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production. • Strong proficiency in GoLang for building microservices and automation tools. • Experience with ArgoCD and GitOps practices. • Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.). • Strong experience with Docker and containerization. • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their Kubernetes services (EKS, AKS, GKE). • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK. Nice to Have • Exposure to service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and API gateways (NGINX, Envoy). • Knowledge of OPA/Kyverno for Kubernetes policy enforcement. • Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ). • Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform, Helm or Kustomize.
