Job Location: Washington DC (fully onsite 5x/week)

Why is the position open?
This role is open to support CRMβs transition to a hybrid, multi-cloud operating model. The organization is expanding its cloud footprint across Azure, AWS, and OCI while integrating with on-prem infrastructure and DOJ shared services. This role is critical to architecture design, governance, and execution of that transformation.
Required Technical Experience:
β’ 10+ years enterprise infrastructure or cloud engineering
β’ Multi-cloud experience (Azure, AWS, OCI β at least two)
β’ Linux and Windows enterprise environments
β’ Cloud networking and hybrid connectivity
β’ IAM, logging, monitoring, and security controls
β’ Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
β’ Operating in regulated federal environments
β’ Experience with FedRAMP / NIST 800-53
β’ Cloud migrations and modernization projects
Preferred / Differentiating Experience:
β’ DOJ or federal agency experience
β’ Familiarity with JMD enterprise services
β’ Strong documentation and architecture governance
β’ Cloud security certifications
β’ Experience designing DR/BCP solutions
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
β’ Design and implement hybrid and multi-cloud architectures
β’ Define reference architectures and cloud standards
β’ Support cloud migrations and modernization efforts
β’ Implement secure networking and IAM models
β’ Architect compute, storage, and DR solutions
β’ Work with DOJ stakeholders and enterprise services
β’ Develop automation using Terraform and native cloud tooling
β’ Support audits, compliance, and cost governance
β’ Provide technical leadership and documentation
Meetings / Availability Expectations:
β’ Must be available during core business hours
β’ Participation in architecture reviews, planning sessions, and stakeholder meetings
β’ Occasional coordination with DOJ/JMD teams
Years of Experience / Education / Certifications:
Bachelorβs degree or equivalent experience
10+ years of relevant experience
Required (one minimum):
Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305)
AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
OCI Architect Certification
Preferred:
Terraform Associate
Security+ / SSCP / CCSP
ITIL
