Job Title: Cloud Solution SME - Hybrid & Multi-Cloud Job Location: Washington DC (fully onsite 5x/week) Length: (C/CTH/DH): 6 Month Contract to Hire • Independent VISA candidates only apply • Position Title: Cloud Solution Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Hybrid & Multi-Cloud • Veterans strongly encouraged to apply. Why is the position open? This role is open to support CRM’s transition to a hybrid, multi-cloud operating model. The organization is expanding its cloud footprint across Azure, AWS, and OCI while integrating with on-prem infrastructure and DOJ shared services. This role is critical to architecture design, governance, and execution of that transformation. Required Technical Experience: • 10+ years enterprise infrastructure or cloud engineering • Multi-cloud experience (Azure, AWS, OCI – at least two) • Linux and Windows enterprise environments • Cloud networking and hybrid connectivity • IAM, logging, monitoring, and security controls • Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) • Operating in regulated federal environments • Experience with FedRAMP / NIST 800-53 • Cloud migrations and modernization projects Preferred / Differentiating Experience: • DOJ or federal agency experience • Familiarity with JMD enterprise services • Strong documentation and architecture governance • Cloud security certifications • Experience designing DR/BCP solutions Day-to-Day Responsibilities: • Design and implement hybrid and multi-cloud architectures • Define reference architectures and cloud standards • Support cloud migrations and modernization efforts • Implement secure networking and IAM models • Architect compute, storage, and DR solutions • Work with DOJ stakeholders and enterprise services • Develop automation using Terraform and native cloud tooling • Support audits, compliance, and cost governance • Provide technical leadership and documentation Meetings / Availability Expectations: • Must be available during core business hours • Participation in architecture reviews, planning sessions, and stakeholder meetings • Occasional coordination with DOJ/JMD teams Years of Experience / Education / Certifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 10+ years of relevant experience Required (one minimum): Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305) AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) OCI Architect Certification Preferred: Terraform Associate Security+ / SSCP / CCSP ITIL
