Responsibilities
• utilise various architectural components to design and develop client-focused requirements.
• Maintain, improve, clean, and manipulate data for operational and analytics systems.
• Proactively seek innovative solutions to technical challenges, challenging the status quo.
• Document and communicate essential information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
• Adhere to team delivery/release processes for code deployment and releases.
• Drive business results with data-based insights, collaborating closely with stakeholders.
• Passionately discover hidden solutions in large datasets to enhance business outcomes.
• Design, develop, and maintain data processing pipelines using Cloudera technologies, including Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Hive, and Python.
• Collaborate with data engineers and scientists to translate data requirements into technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain frameworks for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading into the Cloudera platform.
• optimise and tune data processing jobs for high performance and scalability.
• Implement data governance and security policies to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data processing jobs, resolving issues promptly.
• Perform unit testing and debugging to guarantee high quality and reliability of data solutions.
• Document technical specifications, data flows, and architecture diagrams.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practises in Cloudera technologies and big data analytics.
Qualifications
• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
• Experience in creating robust data architectures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective team collaboration.
• Eagerness to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
• Experience with AutoSys is preferred.
• Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Hadoop, Hive, MySQL, etc.
