Role description
Weβre seeking experienced Administrators to join our Code Management team. The right candidates for this role will be able to execute strategic projects, optimize CI/CD workflows, and drive infrastructure modernization. They will play a critical part in maturing our automation ecosystem (GitLab, Ansible Automation Platform and Terraform Enterprise) as we move from previously used toolsets ensuring robust, scalable, and secure pipelines.
Must have:
Software Configuration Management expertise
Experience administering GitLab, Artifactory, Xray, & SonarQube
Required Skills:
β’ 8+ years of Administration experience in multiple complex applications and tools.
β’ Software Configuration Management expertise
β’ Experience administering GitLab, Artifactory, Xray, & SonarQube
β’ Experience with Terraform and Ansible
β’ Understanding and working knowledge of containerization on Kubernetes/Open Shift
β’ Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and IBM Cloud
β’ Strong communication skills and a track record of cross-team collaboration
β’ Working knowledge of different Software Development Lifecycle Methodologies
β’ Experience configuring and managing GitLab Runners, Groups, Projects, and Permissions at scale
β’ Harden GitLab for enterprise usage (SAML/SSO, LDAP, RBAC, backup/restore)
β’ Design, implement, and optimize complex GitLab CI/CD pipelines using YAML best practices
β’ Leverage Terraform, Ansible, or similar to provision and manage self-hosted GitLab and runners
β’ Implement GitOps practices to manage infrastructure and environment configurations
β’ Automate operational tasks and incident remediation via pipelines and scripts
β’ Partner with application teams to onboard them onto GitLab workflows and best practices
β’ Develop and maintain clear runbooks, wiki pages, and pipeline templates
β’ Integrate monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK) for GitLab health and pipeline performance
β’ Implement policies and guardrails to ensure code quality, compliance, and security posture
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD or migration-related incidents in a timely manner
β’ Available for 24/7 On-call support
β’ A BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience with good scripting/programming skills
β’ GitLab Certified Administrator
β’ Recent experience administering GitLab Self-Managed
β’ Prior software experience with build management, configuration management and/or quality testing
β’ Experience with SCM practices including Agile, continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD)
