Genesis10 is currently seeking a Cognos BI Developer with our client in the financial Industry. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop reports and dashboards using all studios and tools within Cognos Analytics 11.x including Event Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio, Explorations, Jobs, Dashboards, Stories, Data Modules, and Data Sets
• Create and maintain Framework Manager models
• Manage and deploy Cognos PowerPlay cubes using Transformer
• Support and enhance TM1 models and interact with Planning Analytics tools such as TM1 Perspectives or TM1 Architect
• Perform report performance tuning and apply best practices for optimization
• Gather report requirements and educate end users on Cognos capabilities
• Troubleshoot and resolve report issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Participate in large-scale BI projects in collaboration with the Cognos BI and Planning Analytics teams
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support reporting needs
• Leverage experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, Business Objects, Power BI, SAS, Python, and DataStage
Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education
• Experience with all Cognos Analytics 11.x components and Planning Analytics TM1
• Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts, relational databases, and multidimensional cubes
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining quality
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to partner with internal clients
• Consistent ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
Pay Range: $ 84 - 94
