Overview: Work with a leading firm in the health intelligence industry as a Senior Health Information Programmer. This is a "consultant-minded" role responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining core data processing platforms. You will bridge the gap between complex data and executive leadership by designing, developing, and administering high-impact reporting solutions that drive business ROI. You will… β€’ Engage directly with Operations Directors and VPs to "flush out" business requirements and translate them into technical deliverables. β€’ Design and develop enterprise-grade reports and dashboards using Cognos, SSRS, and Power BI. β€’ Administer, configure, and monitor reporting platforms, focusing on security, access control, and server-side optimization. β€’ Build robust back-end data layers and SSIS packages to ensure data is structured for both current and future reporting needs. β€’ Apply User Experience (UX) and "storytelling" principles to dashboards to cater to executive, analyst, and self-service audiences. β€’ Mentor junior programmers and drive the adoption of best practices across the team. Required Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor’s degree and 4-5 years of relative experience in Health Information Programming or a similar Business Intelligence role. β€’ High proficiency in Cognos Reporting (Framework Manager) and Cognos Server Administration. β€’ Strong SQL skills for data profiling, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. β€’ Experience with SSRS and SSIS for data wrangling and processing. β€’ Proven ability to communicate with high-level stakeholders (Directors/VPs) and manage delivery expectations. β€’ Demonstrated proficiency in Data Visualization and User Experience Design. Preferred Qualifications: β€’ Master's degree. β€’ Prior experience working with healthcare claims, utilization, or case management data. β€’ Experience with Tableau and Microsoft SQL Server Suite (SSMS, SSAS). β€’ Familiarity with Agile methodology and Azure DevOps/TFS source control.
