Job Summary:
β’ Looking for a skilled Collibra Developer with 8 years of overall experience in data engineering or governance, and at least 2 years of hands-on experience with the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform.
β’ The ideal candidate will also have exposure to similar data governance tools such as Alation, Informatica EDC, Microsoft Purview, or Talend, and will play a key role in developing metadata ingestion processes and supporting enterprise data governance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design and develop metadata ingestion workflows into Collibra using Collibra Connect, REST APIs, or external ingestion tools.
β’ Configure and maintain Collibra assets, including domains, communities, business glossaries, and custom attributes.
β’ Ingest and map metadata from source systems, databases, data lakes, and BI tools to Collibra.
β’ Collaborate with data stewards and engineering teams to establish lineage and quality metadata standards.
β’ Work with adjacent data governance platforms (e.g., Alation, Informatica EDC, Purview) if needed to support broader governance goals.
β’ Develop and customize workflows to automate data onboarding and governance processes.
β’ Document technical configurations and maintain best practices for metadata management.
Required Qualifications:
β’ 8 years of total experience in data engineering, metadata management, or data governance.
β’ Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Platform.
β’ Experience in metadata ingestion and automation using Collibra Connect, APIs, or other tools.
β’ Familiarity with at least one other data governance tool such as Alation, Informatica EDC, Microsoft Purview, or Talend.
β’ Solid understanding of data lineage, business glossaries, and data cataloging principles.
β’ Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).
β’ Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
β’ Experience with scripting (Java, Python) for automation and integration.
β’ Understanding of data privacy, classification, and compliance use cases.
β’ Familiarity with agile project management and tools like Jira or Confluence.
