Role description
Collibra consultant Sheffield\_UK(Hybrid to Office weekly) Inside IR35 long term contract The Collibra team is based within the Group Data Management Technologies team, as part of an HSBC wide program to improve the management of data across the organization. This role works closely with the Collibra users, Businesses, Senior Data Definitions Manager and Definitions Leads etc to ensure the Collibra (Group Data Dictionary tool) support the Group’s data governance, data quality and lineage requirements. Optimize the code if needed. Automate the support tasks wherever possible. The role holder will be involved in development activities. Principal responsibilities β€’ Developing technical specifications, processes, and documentation to produce the required Collibra deliverables. β€’ Troubleshooting and resolving Collibra data, system, and performance issues β€’ Realizing Product owner’s vision into robust technical solutions. β€’ Participate in the development of BPMN Workflows using Eclipse Java Integrated Development Environment (IDE) β€’ Using API’s and JAVA classes and scripting for BPMN Workflow development β€’ Developing application interface workflows using Groovy scripting in conjunction with the out of the box Collibra REST API’s Ensure the programme components adhere to regulatory requirements, Data Management Organization, Line of Business and Group policies and standards and minimize general risk to the Group. β€’ Support a culture of common definitions and single dictionary to contribute to enhanced operational efficiency by incorporating use of best practices, methodologies into change management processes. β€’ Reduce ambiguity of data capture, resulting in improvements to consistent and standardized data. Qualifications / Required Skills β€’ Bachelor’s degree or International Equivalent β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills; presentation skills preferred. β€’ Experience in Collibra in workflow development and Collibra Administration β€’ Technical: Strong Java/Groovy scripts with good understanding on Rest API’s, Activity Workflows β€’ Knowledge on GIT Hub and GIT processes. β€’ Knowledge on GCP or any other cloud technologies β€’ Focus on detail and consistency. β€’ Organized and well structured. β€’ Strong prioritization and time management skills β€’ Work experience in data management with strong awareness of Data Quality practice, Tools, and Processes β€’ Experience of Collibra system is strongly desirable. β€’ Strong research, analysis and report writing skills are essential. β€’ Strong interpersonal skills and client oriented β€’ Self-motivated, focused, detailed oriented and able to work efficiently to deadlines are essential.
