The Commercial Analyst will report directly to the Head of Product.

You will be working at our location in the Titanic Quarter: Unit 1 Oakbank, Channel Park, Queens Road, Belfast BT3 9DT.
Departmental Overview
The Product Team defines Artemis Technologies’ vessel architectures, performance requirements and technology roadmap. The team integrates design, performance modelling, validation and fleet data to ensure products meet technical, operational and commercial objectives.
Product also plays a central role in commercialising Artemis’ offerings through engagement with Sales and Marketing, balancing technical and commercial risk in the development of evidence-based client proposals.
Summary Of The Role
This 12-month placement role operates at the interface of Product, Engineering, and Commercial functions, supporting the development of Artemis’ data and analysis toolchain and translating technical outputs into structured, decision-ready insights.
The Role Description
This role is a 12-month placement and supports the development and deployment of Artemis’ internal performance, commercial, and data tool chain. Working across product, engineering, and commercial functions, the Placement Analyst will structure and analyse datasets, support the generation of commercially relevant outputs, and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal tools used to evaluate vessel performance and route viability.
The role provides exposure to real-world application of data analysis within a high-growth technology business, with a focus on translating technical outputs into structured, decision-ready insights. The successful candidate will work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to support ongoing product development, proposal activities, and business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
• Support the preparation, cleaning, and structuring of datasets relating to vessel performance, route modelling, and energy consumption.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and develop structured outputs using tools such as R, python, and Excel.
• Assist in the development and refinement of internal analysis tools and workflows in collaboration with engineering and software teams.
• Translate technical outputs into clear, commercially relevant summaries to support product and proposal activities.
• Contribute to the development of standardised templates and reporting formats for internal and external use.
• Support scenario analysis and sensitivity studies to inform commercial and operational decision-making.
• Maintain clear documentation of datasets, assumptions, and methodologies to ensure traceability and repeatability.
• Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and support delivery of analysis outputs.
• Produce structured reports suitable for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Attend team and 1-1 meetings and fulfil reporting requirements as required by Artemis Technologies.
• Ensure compliance with Artemis Technologies Policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Handbook.
• Build good working relationships across Artemis Technologies.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications and Experience Required:
• Currently undertaking an undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
Key Skills Required
• Strong analytical capability with an ability to interpret and structure data effectively
• Experience using analytical tools such as R, Python, or similar (R preferred but not essential)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modelling
• Ability to communicate analytical outputs clearly and concisely
• Structured and methodical approach to problem-solving
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on data integrity and consistency
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively within a team environment
Desirable
• Exposure to statistical modelling, forecasting, or optimisation techniques
• Familiarity with engineering or technical datasets
• Experience working with large or unstructured datasets
