Position Overview
We are seeking a key individual to bridge the gap between commercial operations and advanced data solutions. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in data integration, manipulation, and visualization to enhance our pharmaceutical commercial strategies, support product launches, and enable next-generation analytics capabilities. Key Responsibilities
Work closely with business stakeholders to support and execute commercial operation visions by developing, maintaining, and enhancing existing reports, data integrations, and data
management processes.
Lead data validation, integration, and manipulation for various
pharmaceutical commercial data sources (e.g., IQVIA/Symphony national and HCP-level sales, call and sample data, and promotional data). Utilize SQL for advanced querying
and data manipulation, and Python (or similar scripting languages) for automating data pipelines and extraction efforts.
Design, create, and maintain dynamic Power BI dashboards and
executive-ready Excel reports, translating complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for marketing and sales leadership.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy by establishing and
enforcing data governance practices and data quality controls
for commercial datasets.
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and
technical teams (including data engineering and IT, ensuring alignment on data strategy, KPIs, and solution architecture.
Conduct in-depth analysis of pharmaceutical sales, prescriber
behavior, and market data to influence commercial strategy, optimize field deployment, and support new drug launches.
Qualifications
Deep expertise and hands-on experience with key
pharmaceutical commercial data sources (e.g., IQVIA Xponent,
DDD, Symphony, Veeva CRM, Salesforce, 867/852/849, Payer
Data, ICS, MMIT
Expert-level proficiency in complex SQL for data extraction,
manipulation, and analysis.
Strong experience with Python or other scripting languages for
data integration, automation, and data processing.
Expert-level skills in Power BI and Microsoft Excel
PivotTables,VLOOKUP) for report and dashboard creation.
Familiarity with database concepts and cloud data
environments (e.g., AWS Redshift, SQL Server).
Understanding of data migration, data integration, and data
warehousing principles.
Exceptional analytical skills to identify trends, interpret complex
data, and translate findings into clear, actionable business
recommendations.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives,
communicate effectively with leadership, and drive project
execution.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying
inefficiencies and developing streamlined solutions.
Education
Master's degree in Management Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field is highly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical or business discipline with extensive equivalent practical experience is required. 7+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or Consultant with a strong focus on commercial data and analytics within the Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry.
