Industry: Retail
Hours: M-F 8:00 - 5:00 PM/9:00 - 6:00 PM CT (Must be able to work during central time hours)
About The Role
Our client is one of the largest general merchandise retailers in the United States, operating a nationwide network of stores and a robust e-commerce platform that serves millions of guests each week. Their Corporate Affairs and Communications organization protects and elevates the company's reputation through earned media, executive communications, digital content, and social engagement — and they rely on data to prove what's working, what's not, and where to invest next.
We are partnering with this client to identify a Corporate Affairs / Communication Measurement Analyst who will sit at the intersection of communications strategy and analytics. In this role, you will turn complex data from digital, earned, and social channels into clear, executive-ready insights that shape how the brand shows up in the world.
Job Description
As the Corporate Affairs / Communication Measurement Analyst, you will drive business decisions by delivering quantitative and qualitative analysis, reporting, and storytelling to senior decision-makers. Day to day, you will:
• Collect, aggregate, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources to surface insights into communications and business performance.
• Produce actionable reports that highlight key performance indicators (KPIs), identify opportunities for improvement, and present root-cause analysis of performance issues.
• Apply analytics and metrics to refine processes and deliver data-driven forecasts of potential costs, risks, and opportunities tied to new initiatives.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders across Corporate Affairs, Communications, and partner teams to inform strategy.
• Deliver recurring reporting solutions and respond to ad-hoc report requests across multiple business areas.
• Participate, as needed, in the design and development of business intelligence and reporting tools.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, communications measurement, marketing analytics, or a related analytical function.
• Demonstrated experience in digital content measurement, including reporting on digital content performance across owned and earned channels.
• Hands-on experience working with earned media data to measure coverage, sentiment, share of voice, and reputational impact.
• Proven experience analyzing social data to measure engagement, audience behavior, and campaign performance.
• Experience aggregating and analyzing data from multiple sources to produce actionable insights and executive-level reporting.
• Strong understanding of KPI development, trend analysis, performance measurement, and storytelling with data.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data manipulation, pivot tables, lookups, and reporting automation.
• Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to build clear executive presentations and performance summaries.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate analytical findings for non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience with Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Salesforce reporting, or comparable measurement platforms.
• Prior experience supporting Corporate Affairs, Public Relations, Communications, Brand, or Marketing organizations.
• Experience producing weekly, monthly, and quarterly digital media reporting across multiple digital and earned channels.
• Proven ability to identify trends, insights, risks, and optimization opportunities from communications performance data.
