Role: Computational Engineering Specialist (Remote) Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Payout: $20 - $60/hour Role Overview: We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Computational Engineering Expert to work on a contractor basis. The successful candidate will apply their expertise in computational, simulation, or systems engineering to inform advanced AI benchmarking and evaluation processes, shaping how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. This role is critical in the technology industry, where the development of next-generation AI systems relies on expert input from professionals with a strong background in computational engineering. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the intersection of engineering and AI, with the ability to analyze and provide feedback on AI models' performance in realistic scenarios. Key Responsibilities: • Leverage expertise in computational, simulation, or systems engineering to inform advanced AI benchmarking and evaluation processes, ensuring that AI models are trained on high-quality, real-world data. • Analyze and provide feedback on AI models' performance in realistic scenarios, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting modifications to enhance model accuracy and reliability. • Apply knowledge of computational fluid dynamics (CFD), finite element analysis (FEA), and other simulation techniques to develop and evaluate AI models, ensuring that they are robust and effective. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement large-scale simulation environments, optimizing AI model performance and scalability. • Evaluate and improve AI models using technical benchmarking and scripting, ensuring that they meet the required standards for accuracy and reliability. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Strong background in computational engineering, with expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), finite element analysis (FEA), and other simulation techniques, as well as proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, and ANSYS. • Experience with simulation modeling systems, including OpenFOAM, COMSOL, and Abaqus, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets. • Excellent problem-solving and systems thinking skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively through written and verbal communication. • Experience with AI model evaluation, technical benchmarking, and scripting, with a strong understanding of scientific workflows and high-performance computing (HPC) environments. • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment, with excellent collaboration and communication skills, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
