Role description
Computer Engineer IV (EC4) 📍 Location: Philadelphia, PA (On-site) Experience: 10+ years Education: Bachelor’s in Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science Overview: Engenium is seeking a Computer Engineer IV to support Navy ship maintenance software and system development projects at NSWCPD. The candidate will apply advanced computer engineering expertise to design, develop, test, and optimize software and systems used in Navy maintenance and life-cycle management environments. Key Responsibilities: • Research, design, and develop software solutions supporting machinery life-cycle management and Navy maintenance systems. • Create, test, and deploy applications using technologies such as Java, Kotlin, .NET, C#, Golang, JavaScript, and other relevant languages. • Support real-time data acquisition, batch data processing, and UI application development. • Apply knowledge of hardware/software systems to troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions. • Implement version control (Git, SVN, etc.) and ensure compliance with DoDAF and Navy software standards. • Optimize system performance and reliability through design improvements and code refinement. Qualifications: • 10+ years of experience in software or computer network development. • Strong experience in web, database, and application development environments. • Proficiency in multiple programming languages and tools, with demonstrated deployment and troubleshooting expertise. • Familiarity with Navy or DoD maintenance systems and secure software development practices. • Knowledge of DoDAF and Navy cybersecurity development standards highly preferred. ⚓ Note: This position is part of a pending Navy contract award.
