This is a contract role we hire on behalf of Adobe. Become a Key Player as a Computer Scientist – Beacon Team Join Adobe’s Beacon team, a small but high-impact group building an AI-powered marketing assistant for SMBs. You will lead backend automation framework development using agentic approaches to streamline marketing tasks—like scraping product data from websites and creating/scheduling Instagram posts automatically. Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact Design, code, test, and deploy scalable backend automation frameworks end-to-end. Leverage LangGraph and LangChain to build agentic automation pipelines. Apply foundational models (e.g., OpenAI) for task automation in production. Integrate APIs where available and use RPA/virtual browsers when APIs are not an option. Ensure system modularity and extensibility to accommodate new automation capabilities. Optimize for high availability and low latency in automation workflows. Collaborate with a small, cross-functional team (4 members) for rapid iteration. Build on Azure cloud infrastructure. What You’ll Need to Be Successful 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with Python as the primary language. Strong track record in agentic frameworks, especially LangGraph and LangChain. Proven applied experience with foundational models (e.g., OpenAI) in production—no model tuning/training required. Experience integrating with REST, GraphQL, or gRPC APIs. Hands-on experience with RPA tools or virtual browsers for automation. Familiarity with Azure cloud services. Ability to work in a hybrid schedule: Thursdays in San Francisco (entire team on-site) Monday/Tuesday in San Jose (flexible between the two) Disqualifiers No applied experience with agentic frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph). No production-level experience using foundation models. Candidates focusing solely on model tuning or training. Pay Range $84.50 - $105.62/hour Extension potential beyond September 2025 based on performance and team needs.
