Role description
Title: Concentration of Risk (CoR) Analytics Consultant Location: 100% remote Duration: 12-month W2 contract Looking for a third party resource with an actuarial background. This role requires expertise in data manipulation using tools like SQL and Snowflake, along with proficiency in geospatial analytics and dashboard creation, specifically for visualizing catastrophe (CAT) loss forecasting. A solid understanding of CAT models is helpful. While not mandatory, a background in climate risk or meteorology would be advantageous. The position would be valuable for creating an accessible CAT loss forecast visualization dashboard, providing critical backup for the Concentration of Risk (CoR) quarterly framework, researching innovative concepts like CoR metric projections, and acting as a liaison for modeling and data-related efforts, including transitioning the team's data infrastructure from SQL to Snowflake. This role will also contribute to developing new strategies for managing risk within the organization. List the top three skills in order of importance and number of years of experience for each skill. • Geospatial analysis / visualization tool experience (ex: ArcGIS), particularly for building dashboards • Data querying / manipulation (ex: SQL) • High attention to detail What are the top three technology tools this resource must have knowledge using? • SQL, Excel, ArcGIS Can you please provide a brief description of the daily duties using the technology tools above? • Creating or performing peer reviews of complex reports in Excel. • Querying data in SQL and organizing into a conclusion of research/questions. • Learning as a shadow of one of our Actuaries about a Concentration of Risk framework. An actuarial background is highly valued, though we're not as concerned about number of credentialing exams passed.
