Role description
Chapman Tate Associates are working with a leading international enterprise to source an experienced Configuration & Asset Manager for an outside IR35 contract engagement. This is a hybrid role based in Luxembourg. You’ll play a key role in shaping and governing Configuration and Asset Management practices within a large-scale, enterprise IT environment.
We are seeking a Configuration & Asset Management Specialist to design, implement, and oversee best-practice frameworks for managing IT assets and configuration items (CIs) across the full lifecycle. This includes ensuring data integrity, process compliance, and traceability within a structured CMDB environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define, implement, and evolve processes for Configuration and Asset Management in collaboration with technical teams.
• Govern and maintain the CMDB and IT asset inventories across software, hardware, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Establish and maintain baseline standards for configuration and asset data, ensuring alignment with internal governance policies.
• Perform audits, data quality checks, and risk assessments to ensure consistency and regulatory alignment.
• Support integration with IT operations and change management functions to reinforce cross-functional compliance.
• Deliver training and documentation to internal stakeholders on asset/configuration best practices.
• Maintain strong collaboration with infrastructure, cloud, and operations teams to ensure traceability and lifecycle oversight.
Experience & Skills Required:
• 5+ years’ experience in IT Configuration and Asset Management, ideally within enterprise environments.
• Deep understanding of CMDB and Asset Management platforms in ServiceNow
• Familiarity with managing environments using:
• vCenter
• Cisco DNA
• MCEM
• RedHat and Solaris
• Azure Cloud
• SQL for data validation and query work
• Strong process-oriented mindset with attention to data accuracy and compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to operate across multidisciplinary teams.
