Position Overview:
The Snowflake Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data architecture and pipelines on the Snowflake platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Snowflake development, data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and SQL optimization, along with a deep understanding of Snowflake features and integrations with various data sources. This is a contract position that will be a minimum of 6-month, with the potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
β’ Design and implement scalable data solutions using Snowflake, including data warehouses and data lakes
β’ Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and integration
β’ Experience with Snowflake-specific features like Snowpark, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, and Cloning
β’ Integrate Snowflake with analytics tools such as Streamlit and Sigma for reporting and visualization
β’ Develop and manage complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and reusable scripts
β’ Optimize Snowflake performance, including query tuning, clustering, and cost management
β’ Recommend and implement best practices for Snowflake architecture and performance tuning
β’ Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather data requirements and deliver solutions
β’ Ensure data security, access controls, and compliance with governance standards
β’ Monitor Snowflake infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability
β’ Integrate Snowflake with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Good to Have:
β’ Familiarity with Python scripting for automation
β’ SnowPro Certification
β’ Exposure to data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
β’ Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps for Snowflake
Requirements
β’ Experience with data integration tools (e.g., dbt, Fivetran, Matillion) preferably dbt
β’ 4-6 years of experience
β’ Good written and oral English skills
β’ Applicant must be local to Greenwich, CT
