Lead PMO Consultant - PMBOK, PRINCE2 Cupertino, CA, USA (Onsite) 6 months+ Mandatory Skills: β€’ PMO frameworks, governance models (PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile, Hybrid) β€’ Experience in financial management (budgeting, cost tracking, ROI analysis). β€’ Expertise in portfolio, program, and project management processes (planning, execution, monitoring, closure). β€’ Data analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel) Job Summary: β€’ Looking for PMO Lead to oversee and manage the Project Management Office (PMO) function, ensuring alignment of projects and programs with organizational strategy. β€’ The candidate to have strong analytical skills, expertise in PMO frameworks and processes, and the ability to drive governance, standardization, and continuous improvement across the project portfolio. Experience Requirements: β€’ 10+ years of experience in project/program management, At least 3.5 years in a PMO leadership role. Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. Skills Requirements: β€’ Strong understanding of PMO frameworks, governance models, and methodologies (PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile, Hybrid). β€’ Proficiency in PMO tools (Clarity, Planview, MS Project, Primavera, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, ServiceNow PPM). β€’ Strong skills in data analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel). β€’ Expertise in portfolio, program, and project management processes (planning, execution, monitoring, closure). β€’ Experience in project financial management (budgeting, cost tracking, ROI analysis). β€’ Proficiency in resource management and capacity planning. β€’ Familiarity with collaboration platforms (MS Teams, SharePoint, Slack). β€’ Strong leadership and team management capabilities to guide PMO staff and project managers. β€’ Excellent stakeholder management and ability to engage with executive leadership. β€’ Strong communication and presentation skills to convey insights effectively. β€’ Good Understanding of Change management and ability to drive adoption of standards and frameworks. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Lead the PMO function, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic initiatives. β€’ Define and implement PMO policies, standards, and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid). β€’ Establish, implement, and continuously improve PMO frameworks, methodologies, and best practices. β€’ Budget estimations, forecasts, and tracking. β€’ Manage and allocate resources across projects based on priorities, schedules, and available budgets. β€’ Provide administrative support to the project/ program and create templates, identify tools, software and more to better manage projects. β€’ Collaborate with finance / accounting for compliances. β€’ Prepare multi-project reports and supports senior leadership in decision-making through scenario analysis, forecasting, and portfolio prioritization. β€’ Facilitate project-specific trainings and knowledge sharing among teams. β€’ Drive continuous improvement in project delivery and governance practices. β€’ Monitor project portfolio performance, providing insights through data-driven analysis, dashboards, and reports. β€’ Collaborate with project managers and business leaders to track project health, dependencies, resource allocation, and benefits realization. β€’ Drive adoption of tools and technologies (MS Project, JIRA, Power BI, or similar) to enhance visibility and transparency. β€’ Act as a key liaison between executive leadership, business stakeholders, and delivery teams. β€’ Lead and manage the PMO team, ensuring effective project governance, reporting, and delivery support. β€’ Strong organizational and time-management skills Nice to Have: β€’ Familiarity with governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, or ISO standards. β€’ Advanced proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools.
