Role description
CoPilot Engineer (Copilot stuido and studiio lite) 12 Month Contract, possibility of full time 100% remote $120hr. Overview A Fortune 10 health insurance organization is seeking a Copilot Engineer to support the design, development, and enterprise rollout of Copilot Studio and Copilot Studio Lite solutions. This role sits within a large-scale AI & automation transformation program aimed at improving member experience, reducing administrative burden, and accelerating business operations through secure, compliant, and scalable AI tools. The Copilot Engineer will work closely with product owners, architects, security, compliance, and business stakeholders to build, configure, and deploy Copilot experiences that align with enterprise standards—including data governance, privacy, Prompt Hygiene, and Responsible AI principles. Key Responsibilities Copilot Studio & Studio Lite Development • Design, build, and configure Copilot experiences using Copilot Studio and Studio Lite, including flows, prompts, plugins, connectors, and custom actions. AI Engineering & Prompt Design • Develop and refine prompts and workflows to support safe, predictable, and high-value Copilot behavior. Integration & Platform Enablement • Build and manage connectors between Copilot and enterprise systems across the Microsoft ecosystem (e.g., M365, Azure, Power Platform). Governance, Compliance & Responsible AI • Ensure all copilots adhere to health insurance industry regulations such as HIPAA, PHI/PII standards, and internal Responsible AI frameworks. Stakeholder Collaboration & Support • Partner with product owners, business SMEs, and UX teams to gather requirements and translate them into Copilot capabilities. Required Qualifications • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, automation engineering, Power Platform development, or AI-driven application development. • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar workflow automation tools. • Strong knowledge of APIs, REST services, connectors, and data integration patterns. • Experience with Azure (e.g., Azure AD, Azure OpenAI, App Service, API Management). • Understanding of model prompting, LLM orchestration, and AI quality evaluation. • Experience supporting secure enterprise environments—preferably regulated industries. • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
