Cost Analyst Exploration/ Subsurface

Title: Cost Analyst Exploration/ Subsurface Location: Houston TX 77024 Duration: 1 year Pay range: $40-$45/hr Job Summary The Business Cycle Analyst is responsible for supporting the Exploration Team and Subsurface Team in the internal processes required to conduct day-to-day business activities in both the U.S. and international operations. This role assists various team members, supports business processes, and collaborates with multiple functional groups to ensure the successful delivery of business objectives. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for executing Purchase Requisitions in SAP on behalf of the business team Enter accurate Purchase Requisitions into the system based on supporting quotations and contracts Perform necessary revisions to Purchase Requisitions Create milestone payment plans when required Interact with support units (Supply Chain, Finance, etc.) to obtain information needed to administer and execute system workflows Support tasks required for efficient cost Control activities within the Exploration and Subsurface Teams Coordinate with stakeholders and support functions to facilitate contracting needs and ensure adherence to procedural, regulatory, and compliance requirements Support invoice workflow issue resolution for the Exploration and Subsurface Teams Maintain existing business databases and systems accurately, and assist in developing efficient processes to improve business performance Partner with the Cost Control Team to maintain accurate cost tracking and assist with business closeout activities Assist with contract lifecycle monitoring and engage appropriate departmental stakeholders for required action items Ensure ongoing compliance with all internal and external requirements, policies, and procedures affecting the Exploration and Subsurface Teams Independently plan actions to ensure business requirements are met Determine the best approach to ensure proper front end classification of processes (including departmental categorizations, cost allocations, and other classifications) Engage effectively with others to promote results-oriented outcomes through clear and concise communication Self-manage and complete assigned tasks with minimal oversight Qualifications / Requirements High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelors degree preferred Three years or more of experience in the oil and gas industry Experience in maintaining or managing database and project management software Proficiency in ERP systems, SAP preferred (purchasing and finance modules) Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI or Spotfire Dexian is a leading provider of staffing, IT, and workforce solutions with over 12,000 employees and 70 locations worldwide.
