Position Title: Credit Risk Strategy Analyst

Location: Remote

Duration: 6+ month contract with strong potential for extensions and permanent conversion

Converting Salary: $140k-$220k

Target Start Date: ASAP

Requirements:

   • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field

   • Minimum of 5 years of experience with credit risk strategy development

   • Advanced data analysis, data modeling, and coding experience (SQL and/or SAS)

   • Experience developing and implementing credit strategies

   • Experience in the banking or financial services industry

   • Strong understanding of probability of default, loss given default, and exposure at default

   • Strong Excel Skills

   • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

   • Analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have:

   • Knowledge of Python

   • Knowledge of FICO Analytics Workbench

   • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (Reg B and ECOA)

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking Senior and Mid-Level Credit Risk Strategy Analysts to work within our large banking client’s Business Banking division. This individual will help develop a Credit Strategy which is effectively a digitization of the policy. They will use a population of existing customer data to synthesize a set of rules to decision customers to ensure that the approved population meets the loss expectations. The individual will use the population along with probability of default, loss given default and exposure at default to construct an expected loss which will be compared with the acceptable threshold. They’ll do this work by developing a statistical analysis of the population. The Credit Risk Strategy Analyst will take all of the outputs of a model and take a statistic driven approach in order to determine which customers will be approved. Develops and maintains risk decision-support strategies using analytical solutions to enable high-quality, fact-based decisions for a designated risk portfolio. Supports the development of the strategy and roadmap for data quality, data analytics, data modeling, reporting, business intelligence, and the design and development of sophisticated decision support tools. We are looking for candidates who have a background in data analysis/modeling/coding and strong experience developing credit strategies.
