We are seeking a hands-on Credit Risk Data Analyst with strong SQL and SAS coding experience to support analytics and reporting within a large banking environment. This role focuses on analyzing large datasets, identifying credit risk trends, and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain credit risk and portfolio performance reports
- Analyze loan and credit data to identify trends, anomalies, and risk drivers
- Perform deep-dive analysis (e.g., approval rates, credit performance shifts)
- Extract, transform, and manipulate large datasets using SQL and SAS
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across multiple sources
- Present insights to stakeholders using Excel or dashboards
- Collaborate with risk, product, and business teams
Required Qualifications (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
- Advanced SQL coding skills (joins, aggregations, window functions, CTEs)
- Strong SAS programming experience (Data Step, PROC SQL, data manipulation)
- Proven data analytics experience within a large banking environment
- Experience working with large datasets and performing data analysis
- Strong Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Credit risk / lending analytics experience
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Python, or R
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts
