Job SummaryOverview
We are currently recruiting for a Customer Master Data Manager to join the UK Global Supply Chain leadership team at a leading global pharmaceutical organisation. This is a high-impact role responsible for leading Customer Master Data operations, governance, compliance, and strategy across the UK market.
The successful candidate will manage a small team (2 direct reports) and play a critical role in ensuring compliant customer account management aligned with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and UK pharmaceutical distribution requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Lead and develop the UK Customer Master Data (CMD) team.
Develop and implement Customer Master Data strategies across all UK customer groups.
Own CMD KPIs and contribute to wider Global Supply Chain performance targets.
Support cultural engagement and leadership initiatives within the UK GSC function.
Customer Account Management & Compliance
Ensure all UK customer accounts are validated, maintained and managed compliantly.
Oversee Customer Account Management processes aligned with UK DTP distribution models.
Maintain documentation and governance to ensure audit readiness.
Ensure full compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
Systems & Data Governance
Act as SME for Customer Master Data business processes and related IT systems.
Oversee SAP ERP master data governance and interface issue resolution.
Conduct deep-dive data analysis to identify process improvements and efficiencies.
Lead system deployments and provide business process support.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with Commercial, Supply Chain Quality, Logistics Service Providers and EMEA stakeholders.
Ensure escalated customer issues are resolved within agreed timelines.
Support cross-functional projects aligned to UK strategic objectives.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Pharmaceutical industry experience (essential).
Strong understanding of UK pharmaceutical supply chain and pharmacy customers.
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Experience managing Customer Master Data within SAP or ERP environments.
Strong data analysis and numerical capability (advanced Excel essential).
Knowledge of Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to operate in a regulated and compliance-driven environment.
Desirable Experience
Experience with Direct-to-Pharmacy (DTP) distribution models.
Data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI).
Experience working with external Logistics Service Providers.
Process improvement and systems implementation experience.
