Role description
Cyber / AI Engineer: On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a Cyber / AI Engineer for a 12-month contract role. This position is a remote position. Cyber / AI Engineer - Job Description: The Cyber & AI Engineer will design, protect, and operate AI-powered systems across the organization. This role focuses on integrating security, privacy, and governance directly into AI architectures and production pipelines. Cyber / AI Engineer - Responsibilities: Architect and deploy secure AI systems, including LLM-based and machine-learning–driven applications. Perform AI-focused threat modeling, assessing risks across data sources, models, APIs, and underlying infrastructure. Execute adversarial and abuse testing to expose issues such as prompt injection, data exfiltration, and model misuse. Integrate privacy-preserving and secure-by-default practices, including data minimization, access control, and audit logging. Design and operate identity, access, and secrets management for AI services, pipelines, and integrations. Protect APIs and system integrations through strong authentication, authorization, and rate-limiting controls. Implement end-to-end monitoring, logging, and alerting to enable detection and rapid response for AI systems. Cyber / AI Engineer - Mandatory Skills: Strong background in security engineering, cybersecurity, or systems engineering. Experience designing and securing production systems, preferably with AI or ML components. Hands-on experience with threat modeling and secure architecture design. Knowledge of IAM, secrets management, and API security. Experience with monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management. Proficiency in automation or scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar). Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and ML teams. Cyber / AI Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with LLM-based applications. Familiarity with privacy-preserving technologies. Understanding of adversarial machine learning techniques. Experience in secure software development lifecycle (SDLC). Knowledge of cloud security best practices. Cyber / AI Engineer – Assignment Length: This is a 12-month contract position. Cyber / AI Engineer - Start Date: ASAP. Cyber / AI Engineer - Assignment Location: Remote, ideally EST work hours.
