Cybersecurity Data Analyst

Data Security Analyst Intern (Cybersecurity) Location: Austin, TX (Onsite) Need locals only Pay Rate: $35/hr on W2 | $42/hr on C2C looking for a motivated Data Security Analyst Intern to support cybersecurity operations, incident response, and vulnerability management. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on cybersecurity experience while contributing to protecting critical state systems. Internship Responsibilities:Assist in analyzing and investigating data security incidents (using Crowdstrike & other tools). Support incident response efforts, including containment, forensics, and documentation. Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation. Monitor and analyze security logs, alerts, and reports to detect threats. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement security controls. Contribute to incident reports, SOPs, and security documentation.Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies. Candidate Qualifications:Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. 2+ years experience with scripting/programming (Python, PowerShell, or Bash). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Knowledge of networking, OS, and security concepts (preferred).
