The Security Software Data Engineer will join a mature Agile squad that maintains security products and builds custom cybersecurity integrations across applications. The role requires proficiency with one or more general-purpose programming languages and a working understanding of encryption, certificates, and key management. The engineer will collaborate with application teams and security partners to design, deliver, and document secure integrations. An architectural mindset and the ability to troubleshoot distributed systems will support quality outcomes.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $55.00 to $65.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities
• Understand requirements for new integrations and deliver solutions that increase application security.
• Establish working relationships with application teams to enable secure integrations.
• Partner with Information Security stakeholders to align on architecture and controls.
• Organize and execute projects, including tracking deliverables and milestones.
• Report on project progress to stakeholders.
• Document all aspects of projects from initial requirements through support documentation.
Experience Requirements
• Experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, Node, or Power BI.
• Working understanding of encryption and key/certificate best practices.
• Working understanding of certificate management and key management systems.
• Experience with Venafi or CyberArk.
• An architectural mindset with the ability to understand interconnected systems and troubleshoot distributed systems effectively.
• Experience with HashiCorp or IBM Vault (preferred).
• Experience with tokenization (preferred).
• Experience with PQR or PQC (preferred).
• Ability to write readable and complete unit through integration tests (preferred).
Education Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or comparable relevant experience.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
