Dashboard Developer (Remote | Contract-to-Hire) Location: Remote (U.S.-based candidates preferred) Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Dashboard Developer to design and build intuitive, high-performing dashboards that turn data into actionable insights. You’ll play a key role in system observability, working with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and PromQL to create scalable visualization solutions that empower teams to make data-driven decisions. This role is ideal for a developer who loves both the technical and analytical sides of data — someone who can translate complex business requirements into clear, effective dashboards. Key Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and optimize interactive dashboards using Grafana, with data sourced from Prometheus and related monitoring systems. • Collaborate with stakeholders to define business metrics and visualize performance indicators that drive operational and strategic decisions. • Implement best practices in monitoring, alerting, and observability to enhance system reliability. • Leverage Python for data analysis, automation, and custom visualizations. • Integrate dashboards with Google Cloud Services and other observability tools. • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure dashboard usability and clarity. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Proven experience building and maintaining system observability dashboards. • Expertise in Grafana for visualization and Prometheus / PromQL for metrics. • Strong understanding of monitoring best practices and business metrics. • Solid proficiency with Python for analytics and problem-solving. • Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Dash and Posit for interactive dashboards. • Familiarity with Google Cloud Services and associated metrics. • Certifications in Google Cloud or observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Datadog). • Exposure to ELK Stack, Datadog, or similar platforms. • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
