Data and Analytics Manager | Manchester | Hybrid | £400 - £480 per day We're working with a prestigious Higher Education and Research Institution on this exciting opportunity. Are you a data visionary who can turn complex HR metrics into a compelling narrative? We are looking for a Data and Analytics Manager to spearhead the evolution of People reporting, leveraging Power BI to drive executive-level decision-making and ensure total compliance across the employee lifecycle. The Role • Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of high-impact People reporting solutions using Power BI and advanced reporting platforms. • Provide expert leadership on HR technology architecture, data governance, and analytics best practices to ensure a single version of the truth. • Translate intricate HR data into actionable visuals and "narrative-based" insights that influence senior leadership and stakeholders. • Oversee the successful delivery of critical statutory returns including HESA (Higher Education Statistics Agency), ONS, and UCEA. • Manage cross-functional partnerships with IT, Finance, and Planning to maintain an integrated analytical ecosystem. What You'll Need • Advanced expertise in Power BI, including sophisticated data modelling (DAX), dashboard design, and predictive analytics. • Proven experience leading technical teams and developing analytical professionals in a complex, data-heavy environment. • Deep understanding of HR processes and data flows, specifically relating to the end-to-end employee lifecycle. • Robust knowledge of Data Governance, GDPR, and statutory reporting requirements like HESA or Freedom of Information (FOI) requests. • Exceptional communication skills with a track record of influencing stakeholders through data storytelling.
