Job Summary
The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support ERP and VMS initiatives, while also bridging business and functional requirements. This hybrid position is based out of Charlotte, NC with some quarterly travel.
Job Responsibilities:
β’ Gather, analyze, and interpret data from ERP systems to support business decision-making and process optimization.
β’ Collaborate with business stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and third-party vendors to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
β’ Work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, and developers to define and refine data-driven features, ensuring alignment with business and functional objectives.
β’ Develop a deep understanding of business domains and system functionalities to facilitate data-driven decisions and process improvements.
β’ Break down complex business and functional requirements into detailed data models, user stories, and tasks ready for development.
β’ Identify and communicate risks, dependencies, and process gaps using data analysis, and propose solutions to optimize system performance.
β’ Translate business and functional needs into clear, testable data requirements and acceptance criteria.
β’ Ensure delivered solutions meet data quality standards and support strategic transformation goals.
β’ Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
β’ Track progress of data-related deliverables, ensuring milestones are met and quality standards are maintained.
β’ Manage post-implementation feedback, supporting enhancements and system optimization based on user input and data analysis.
β’ Develop and execute data validation and testing scripts; collaborate with QA and other analysts to support end-to-end testing.
β’ Evaluate system outputs to verify they meet defined data requirements and quality standards.
β’ Provide support for ERP systems, including troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues via a ticketing system.
β’ Support the adoption and optimization of new and existing transaction types, promoting best practices in data management and system usage.
β’ Administer configuration changes and enhancements to ERP systems to support integrations and data accuracy.
β’ Coordinate with IT and third-party providers for technical changes, testing, and certification processes, focusing on data integrity.
Qualifications
β’ Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field preferred.
β’ Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Data Analyst, Functional Analyst, or Business Analyst role, ideally within software development, ERP implementation, or digital product environments.
β’ At least 1 year of experience working on Agile projects or within Agile teams (Scrum, SAFe, or similar frameworks).
β’ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
β’ Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering high-quality data outcomes.
β’ Analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving using data.
β’ Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and deliverables under tight deadlines.
β’ Skilled at building relationships, influencing stakeholders, and driving alignment on data-driven solutions.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with collaboration tools such as Miro and Azure DevOps is a plus.
β’ Willingness to travel occasionally (<5%) to support project initiatives and collaborate with sector teams
