Role description
We're partnering with a fast-growing financial services firm in the DC area (FinServe) to add a Data Analyst to their lean, high-impact data team. This is a hands-on role with direct exposure to senior leadership and a chance to shape how data drives decisions across multiple business functions.
As a Data Analyst, youβll help build and maintain the internal analytics infrastructure that supports teams across operations, accounting, and investor relations. Your day-to-day will involve developing data models, building dashboards, and translating business needs into actionable insights.
What Youβll Do:
β’ Partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand data needs and deliver insights
β’ Design and implement data models that support operational and strategic goals
β’ Build interactive dashboards and reports to monitor key business metrics
β’ Collaborate closely with a small, agile data team and senior leadership
β’ Drive improvements in data accessibility, quality, and usability
What We're Looking For:
β’ Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
β’ Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
β’ Comfort working cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams
β’ Ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
β’ Experience in financial services or a related industry is a plus
