Data Analyst

Job Title: Data Analyst (Contract) - Job#5947 Location: 100% Remote (Eastern and Central time zones only) Job Description Our client is seeking a Data Analyst to support analytics initiatives by reviewing, analyzing, and documenting data across multiple systems and projects. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience working with data models, data mining, and business rule validation. This role involves analyzing data from multiple sources, translating findings into clear documentation, and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure data is understood, accurate, and usable for reporting and decision-making. Key Responsibilities • Analyze data sets and relationships between data sources to identify, verify, and document business rules. • Work across multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and shifting focus as needed. • Collaborate with business users, technical teams, and vendor partners to support data analysis efforts. • Translate complex data findings into clear, understandable documentation for varied audiences. • Present analysis results and explain data behavior at both high-level and detailed views. • Support meetings and working sessions via audio/video conferencing as needed. • Communicate data limitations, assumptions, and analysis approach when source data is incomplete. • Identify trends, patterns, and insights based on data analysis without making business decisions on feasibility. • Adapt analysis approaches as project requirements, data sources, or priorities change. • Maintain strong attention to detail when working with shared data sources across multiple initiatives. Required Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience working as a Data Analyst. • Experience analyzing data models and performing data mining activities. • Ability to identify, validate, and document business rules derived from data analysis. • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain data clearly. • Comfort working in a collaborative, meeting-heavy environment using video conferencing tools. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working with Oracle databases and SQL. • PL/SQL experience writing custom scripts. • Familiarity with star schema design and data segmentation techniques. • Experience with XML and JavaScript.
