Role description
About the Role We’re seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst with deep expertise in SQL, Python, and Tableau to join our customer service strategy team. This role is pivotal in developing interactive dashboards and data products that drive business decisions and improve customer experience. You’ll work closely with business partners, leadership, and technical teams to deliver high-impact solutions using massive structured and unstructured datasets. Key Responsibilities: Core Analytics & Development • Design and deploy interactive dashboards using Tableau that deliver actionable insights. • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for ad-hoc analysis and data modeling. • Develop scalable data products and POCs using Python, Spark, or R. • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and visualize large datasets (1TB+, 500+ variables). • Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure smooth deployment and integration with data lakes. Business Engagement • Interface regularly with leadership and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and communicate progress. • Translate data insights into compelling stories that influence strategic decisions. • Support customer service operations by analyzing chat and customer interaction data. Agile & Compliance • Follow Agile principles using JIRA and Confluence for sprint planning and documentation. • Ensure code quality, documentation completeness, and adherence to team standards. • Monitor deployed products for performance and accuracy. Required Qualifications: Technical Skills • Expert in Tableau: Able to create visually stunning, fast-loading dashboards. • SQL Mastery: Proven ability to write and optimize queries for large datasets. • Programming: Proficient in Python, Spark, or R. • Experience with Big Data tools (Hive, Spark, Hadoop). • Familiarity with GCP is a plus. Experience • 5–9 years in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics. • 3–6 years in customer service operations (telecom, retail, tech, financial services). • 2–4 years working with high-volume, high-dimensional data in Big Data environments. Education • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Economics. Soft Skills • Independent contributor with a proactive mindset. • Strong communicator who can simplify complex data for business stakeholders. • Detail-oriented with a focus on deadlines and quality. • Empathetic team player who thrives under ambitious goals. • Comfortable with procedure-oriented environments and open to suggesting improvements. Interview Process 1. Round 1: Virtual interview – resume overview and general questions. 1. Round 2: Technical interview – SQL-heavy, may include Python. 1. Round 3: Onsite (if needed) – final evaluation. Disqualifiers • Inability to be onsite 4 days/week. • Lack of hands-on experience with Tableau and SQL. • Limited experience in customer service operations or handling large datasets.
