Data Analyst

Pay: $43.00–$45.00/hour Hours: Monday–Friday; 8AM–5PM Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80921 Duration: 1 year contract Overview Seeking Cost Engineers to support cost optimization and automation initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on analyzing large datasets, developing reporting tools, improving cost visibility, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive operational and financial efficiencies. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical capabilities, experience with reporting and visualization tools, and an understanding of manufacturing or engineering processes. Job Description • Analyze and mine large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and cost-saving opportunities • Design and develop dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics tools • Translate business requirements into data models and visualization solutions • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting and operational needs • Automate data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting outputs • Present findings and recommendations through reports and visual presentations • Support manufacturing cost reduction and optimization initiatives • Assist with material cost analysis and financial reporting processes • Work with relational databases and reporting tools to improve operational visibility Required Skills • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Sciences, Cost Engineering, Manufacturing Process Optimization, Data Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field • 1–3 years of data analysis or related experience (internships accepted with Bachelor’s degree) • Strong SQL and Excel skills • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools • Experience working with large datasets and relational databases • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders • Understanding of manufacturing or operations environments Preferred Skills • Manufacturing principles • Master Data Management (MDM) • Business acumen • Cost optimization • Material cost management • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) • Cost estimation • Python or R programming experience Benefits (employee contribution): Health insurance Health savings account Dental insurance Vision insurance Flexible spending accounts Life insurance Retirement plan All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
