Position Title: Data Analyst
Location: Boston MA
Duration: 12+ Months
Hybrid Role (4 days a week in office)
As a Data Analyst, you will:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our Data Platform Team within the broader Data & Analytics function. This role focuses on analyzing enterprise and vendor datasets, understanding data methodologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support data onboarding and lifecycle management. The analyst will contribute to data profiling, cleansing, and quality assurance, while partnering with development teams to enhance data pipelines and maintain robust data controls.
Primary Responsibilities
β’ Conduct end-to-end analysis of business processes, data flows, and usage to drive productivity and data governance improvements.
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and resolve data-related challenges.
β’ Document business requirements and use cases for data initiatives.
β’ Analyze data consumption patterns within core enterprise data repositories.
β’ Coordinate onboarding of internal and external data sources into centralized systems.
β’ Partner with data owners to define and implement data quality rules and controls.
β’ Support change management and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT).
β’ Contribute to broader data and analytics initiatives as needed.
Key Qualifications / Skills
β’ 8+ years of experience in the Investment Management industry with deep understanding of investment data.
β’ Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify anomalies, trends, and quality issues.
β’ Proficiency in SQL; experience with Snowflake is a plus.
β’ Excellent communication skills tailored to both technical and business audiences.
β’ Solid understanding of Data Governance and Data Quality frameworks and tools.
β’ Proven project management experience with enterprise-scale data initiatives.
Preferred Skills
β’ Experience working with datasets related to positions, trades, and transactions.
β’ Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
