Role description
Job Description:
ยท Hybrid: Wednesdays at the Houston Office
ยท Need to have experience with large data sets in Excel (VLOOKUP, Xlookup, Pivot, etc.) and some experience with SQL (not developers, just users).
ยท Prefers experience with Government Aggregation.
We are looking to bring on a contractor to support Mass Market Operations in a Government Aggregation (Gov Agg) Quality Control role. This individual will be responsible for reviewing and validating accounts, contracts and enrollments to ensure accuracy and alignment with utility requirements. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and correct discrepancies before they impact enrollment, billing, or the overall customer experience. Retail energy experience is required as this role will work directly within regulated market processes and utility interactions. The contractor will handle high-volume QC work, including reviewing deal setup, working through exceptions, and partnering with internal teams and utilities to move work forward. They will need to analyze data across multiple sources, investigate issues, and ensure records are complete, consistent, and audit-ready. The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy is critical, along with being highly detail-oriented in both review and documentation. In addition, this role will lead a weekly stand-up with business stakeholders, presenting Gov Agg performance, trends, and key issues, so strong communication skills and confidence presenting to cross-functional teams is important. We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and experience working with account, contract, and enrollment data in a retail energy environment. The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write queries, analyze data, and identify trends to support operational decisions. They should be thorough, detail-focused, and comfortable working independently while coordinating across teams to resolve issues quickly and accurately. Bachelor's degree is required.
