Job Opportunity: Data Analyst - IT Asset & Configuration Management
Location/ Tenure: 1 Year - Glasgow (Hybrid 3days a week in the office)

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Data Analyst in IT Asset Management to join a dynamic team within a leading global financial services firm. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in business analysis and a solid understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM), ITIL frameworks, and IT Asset and Configuration Management practices.
You will play a pivotal role in aligning business data requirements with technology solutions, specifically focusing on ServiceNow CMDB/AMDB data models. If you are passionate about data integrity, system integration, and cross-functional collaboration, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
β’ Elicit, document, and actively manage data requirements across multiple business and technical functions
β’ Perform cross-functional analysis to identify synergies, inconsistencies, and gaps in data management processes
β’ Collaborate closely with data architects and platform owners to identify and validate technical implementation options
β’ Conduct data lineage and discrepancy analysis across systems, ensuring consistency and compliance with standards
β’ Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams
β’ Develop and maintain data documentation and deliverables
β’ Track milestones, raise risks/issues, and support change control processes
β’ Support deployment and adoption of data architecture initiatives across programs

Skills & Experience Required
β’ Minimum 5 years of experience in data or business analysis roles
β’ Strong hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases
β’ At least 2 years of hands-on experience working with ServiceNow, especially CMDB/AMDB
β’ Experience in data architecture, data lineage analysis, and IT inventory systems
β’ Ability to interpret technical documentation, scripts, and configuration files
β’ Familiarity with ITSM and ITIL frameworks
β’ Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
β’ Comfortable working in agile and waterfall environments
β’ Highly organized with excellent time management and attention to detail
β’ Self-motivated and able to work independently across distributed teams
