Role description
Job Summary: This position plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of the Advanced Distribution Management System that powers electric distribution grid operations. Working at the intersection of technology and operations, this role requires close collaboration with Distribution Control Centers, Geospatial teams, Grid Management, and Business Systems to maintain system integrity and enhance operational capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for model validation, SCADA device integration, system testing and troubleshooting, and ongoing application configuration to support safe and efficient grid operations across multiple operating companies. This position demands both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to coordinate across diverse teams and resolve complex system challenges. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with Geospatial, Substation Transmission, and other departments on data management, data validation, and data integrity initiatives • Resolve model promotion issues related to the construction and maintenance of the impedance model in ADMS • Support the implementation and maintenance of ADMS across all Operating Companies • Provide ADMS device integration and technology support by partnering with field technicians and IT personnel to commission devices and resolve performance issues • Configure ADMS user interface elements including symbology, menus, and visibility controls • Maintain and configure specialized mapping products within ADMS • Monitor and maintain the ADMS model to ensure both substation and field grid accuracy • Provide reporting on remote device availability, ADMS grid performance, and grid situational awareness • Perform tag audits and additional model audits consistent with ADMS and operational best practices Skills: • GIS experience with strong preference for GE Smallworld • Electric Distribution Operations knowledge and experience • Geospatial Database Integration capabilities • SCADA or remotely controlled device experience • Cross-functional collaboration in matrix environments supporting multiple work streams • Strong written and verbal communication abilities • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications • Knowledge of or experience with Schneider Electric ADMS Qualifications: • Minimum 2 years of GIS experience • Minimum 2 years of Electric Distribution Operations or similar experience This is an exceptional opportunity to work at the forefront of electric grid modernization and contribute to the reliable delivery of power to communities.
