Role description
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a LaunchPad Statistician for an initial 12 month contract on a rate of c.£450/day (Outside IR35) (DOE). This role will be a mix of working from home and the office. Responsibilities: - Play a key role in supporting a diverse portfolio of innovation projects, contributing to the design, delivery, and evaluation of data-driven solutions that improve patient outcomes, service efficiency, and system sustainability. - Provide expert statistical input across the full project lifecycle. - Will be responsible for developing robust statistical analysis plans aligned to project objectives, applying appropriate quantitative methodologies, and ensuring outputs are accurate, reproducible, and compliant with relevant governance frameworks. - A key aspect of the role will be translating complex statistical outputs into clear, actionable insights for a wide range of stakeholders. Essential Skills: - Degree in statistics, mathematics, data science - Experience of working with NHS Health Boards - Experience working with NHS datasets - Experience delivering statistical analysis across multiple projects or a programme/portfolio - Producing statistical analysis plans, reports, dashboards, or publications - Experience with data linkage and working within Trusted Research Environments Desirable Skills: - Evidence of continued professional development in areas such as: Health data science, project methodology.
