Data Analyst • 6-Month Contract • $55 Per Hour W2 • Remote (Must be US based - Preference for Eastern/Central Time Zones) We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics Analyst to support a high-impact Strategy & Operations function within a large, fast-paced organisation. This role is a backfill and will sit within an online acquisition and performance management team, responsible for influencing weekly performance, spend decisions, and operational outcomes. This is a highly visible individual contributor role where you will aggregate, analyse, and interpret complex data sets, translating insights into clear, compelling narratives for stakeholders up to senior leadership. You’ll work cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, Product, IT, and other teams to identify trends, explain performance gaps, and recommend actionable improvements. Key Responsibilities: • Aggregate, transform, and analyse large datasets to support acquisition and performance management initiatives • Build, maintain, and enhance recurring and ad hoc reports and dashboards using Power BI and Tableau • Pull and analyse data using strong SQL, leveraging existing queries and evolving them to drive deeper insights • Work with data platforms including Snowflake, SQL Server, Databricks, and AWS • Analyse volume shifts, identify trends, and proactively report on performance drivers across channels • Break down missed targets to identify which channel, metric, or factor contributed and why • Develop clear presentations and storytelling materials that translate data into insights for varied audiences, including senior leadership • Partner cross-functionally to conduct deep-dive analyses and support operational improvements • Provide metrics and data support for process improvement initiatives and business cases tied to reducing escalations • Demonstrate curiosity and actively leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance analysis and delivery • Review complex policies and processes and provide data-backed recommendations for improvement Skills & Experience: • 4+ years of experience in data analytics, strategy, operations, or a similar role • Strong SQL skills with experience querying complex datasets • Heavy Excel user with advanced analytical capability • Experience with Snowflake (heavy usage), SQL Server, and AWS • Hands-on experience with Power BI; Tableau experience also required • Experience working with Databricks preferred (or strong willingness to learn quickly) • Background in data analytics or data science • Ability to move beyond reporting to develop insights, explain drivers, and influence decisions • Strong communication skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholders • Programming experience (e.g., Python or similar) • Experience using AI tools to accelerate analysis or reporting • Exposure to multi-channel environments (online and direct channels)
