Role description
A client of Sharp Decisions Inc. is looking for a Data Analyst / Engineer to be based in Raymond, Ohio, United States. The position is an on-site contract role with a possible extension. • W2 and local candidates only. Title: Data Analyst / Engineer Job Description • Analyze and interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights. • Develop and maintain data pipelines using AWS services such as S3, Redshift, and Lambda. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including developers, designers, and business stakeholders) to understand source data, data requirements, and deliver solutions. • Interpret data and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Lead data-related project activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion. • Follow Honda data governance and best practices to ensure data quality and security. • Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to visualize key metrics. • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and provide technical support. What will this person be working on In this role, person will be responsible for conducting data analysis to support decision-making processes within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. TOP SKILLS Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Proven 3-5 years of experience in a Data Analyst role. • Strong proficiency in AWS services (S3, Redshift, Lambda, etc.). • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with database management. • Ability to lead and manage tasks and activities effectively. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with machine learning and AI tools. • Familiarity with Python, R, SQL, Tableau/PowerBI knowledge of statistical analysis techniques. • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
