Role description
This role focuses on ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance within public health systems. The consultant will work closely with clinical and administrative teams to validate, correct, and maintain healthcare data within EHR systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Data Validation & Correction:
β’ Use SQL queries and Mylnsight reporting tools to identify and correct data entry errors
β’ Perform audits on benefit assignments, insurance relationships, and checkout status
Clinical Data Integrity:
β’ Analyze service records for completeness and billing compliance
β’ Identify and correct missing visits, improper coding, and incomplete billing data
β’ Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data entry processes
Duplicate Record Management:
β’ Identify and merge duplicate patient records
β’ Ensure consistency across EHR systems for accurate reporting and billing
Required Qualifications:
β’ Associateβs or Bachelorβs degree in Health IT, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field
β’ Minimum 2+ years of experience with EHR systems (preferably Mylnsight by Netsmart)
β’ Strong SQL skills for data querying and reporting
β’ Experience with data cleanup, validation, and auditing in healthcare
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience in public health or clinical environments
β’ Knowledge of healthcare billing (Medicaid, Medicare, Private Insurance)
β’ Familiarity with ICD/CPT coding and E/M standards
