Role description
Senior Commercial Data Analyst (Contract) - £500 - £700 per day - Outside IR35 - London
About the business
An exciting new luxury hospitality destination is opening in London in 2026, bringing together a boutique hotel, premium serviced residences, multiple food and beverage concepts, event spaces, wellness facilities and lifestyle retail.
As a pre-opening business, the commercial function is being built from the ground up, with data at the heart of commercial decision-making across every part of the operation.
The role
The business is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Data Analyst to become its first dedicated data hire. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will support every revenue stream, including accommodation, residences, food and beverage, spa, retail and events.
This is a hands-on role within a business that is still establishing its data capability. Initially, the successful candidate will work with data extracted from property management, point-of-sale and booking systems, producing clear commercial insight while helping shape the future reporting environment.
Key responsibilities
• Develop guest segmentation across hotel and residence customers to support marketing activity and customer targeting.
• Analyse residential sales pipelines, including conversion rates, sales velocity and lead source performance.
• Deliver ad hoc commercial analysis across pricing, menu performance, spa utilisation, events and other revenue streams.
• Establish consistent revenue definitions and reporting standards across multiple systems and business units.
• Produce weekly executive trading reports covering occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, food and beverage performance, spa utilisation and other key commercial metrics.
• Partner closely with Finance, Revenue Management, Marketing and Operations to provide commercial insight and recommendations.
Candidate profile
The successful candidate will be an experienced analyst who is comfortable working independently, engaging directly with senior stakeholders and delivering high-quality commercial insight with minimal supervision.
You will demonstrate:
• Strong commercial analytical experience, ideally within hospitality or a customer-led business.
• The ability to translate data into clear commercial recommendations.
• Experience in customer segmentation, CRM analytics and/or sales pipeline analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting insights to senior leadership.
• Advanced Excel and SQL skills.
• Experience working with hospitality systems, particularly cloud-based property management systems or comparable operational platforms.
