Job Title: Dynatrace Engineer Location: Basildon UK Onsite InsodeIR35 Contract Position Description: We are seeking a skilled and driven Observability Engineer to design, implement, and manage our enterprise monitoring ecosystem. In this role, you will be our internal subject matter expert for Dynatrace, leading the migration, optimization, and scaling of our monitoring capabilities. While our primary focus is Dynatrace, hands-on experience with AppDynamics is highly valued to help us bridge legacy systems, integrate environments, or cross-train teams. You will work closely with DevOps, SRE, and application teams to ensure deep visibility into application performance, infrastructure health, and user experience. Key Responsibilities β€’ Architect & Deploy: Design, deploy, and configure Dynatrace OneAgent across complex cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. β€’ Dashboarding & Alerts: Create intuitive dashboards, custom charts, and precise alerting profiles to reduce Mean Time to Detection (MTTD) and Resolution (MTTR). β€’ Cross-Platform Management: Leverage your background in AppDynamics to manage existing environments, assist with tool consolidation, or map legacy monitoring metrics into Dynatrace. β€’ Root Cause Analysis: Utilize Dynatrace’s Davis AI engine to troubleshoot complex performance bottlenecks across microservices, databases, and infrastructure. β€’ Automation & Integration: Integrate observability tools into CI/CD pipelines and ITSM frameworks (like ServiceNow or Jira) for automated incident generation and self-healing. β€’ Mentorship & Governance: Train internal development and operations teams on observability best practices and self-service monitoring configurations. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Expertise: β€’ Dynatrace Mastery: Extensive hands-on experience with Dynatrace administration, configuration, management zones, and synthetic monitoring. β€’ AppDynamics Experience: Proven experience configuring and managing AppDynamics controllers, applications agents, and business transactions. β€’ APM Concepts: Deep understanding of Application Performance Monitoring (APM), tracing, metrics, logs, and Real User Monitoring (RUM).
