Position Overview ISG is looking to add a detail-oriented, methodical, and collaborative Data Analyst to our growing team of IT professionals. The Data Analyst’s primary goal will be to leverage data and communicate findings to assist in making smarter, data-backed business decisions. The Data Analyst will perform routine business analysis using various techniques, e.g. statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data mining. They will research best practices and support developing solutions and recommendations for the current business operations. Responsibilities Typical activities the Data Analyst will support, and sometimes lead include: • Analyze data using statistical methods • Create reports to share findings and recommendations with the internal team and other stakeholders • Collaborate with leaders and managers to determine and address data and reporting needs for various projects • Create Power BI reports • Perform testing and validation of data sets • Determine the meaning of data and explain how various teams and leaders can leverage it to improve and streamline their processes • Handle highly sensitive and confidential information • Assist in the development of analytics for leaders • Learn and export data with the ServiceNow platform Required Skillsets • This is a remote position with preference of location in the Detroit or Atlanta area • Must have at least 2+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or relevant role • Ability to identify useful information in data sets and suggest conclusions that support decision making • Strong analytical capabilities • Understanding of data gathering, inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling/diagramming techniques • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to all levels of leadership • Ability to manipulate data quickly • Strong leadership and collaboration skills • Strong project management skills • Keen attention to detail • Willingness to make decisions and solve problems • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Demonstrates strong working knowledge of MS-Office suite of software applications and tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, Power BI • Demonstrates excellent skills is Excel with the ability to use high level functions such as Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, Macros etc. Education • Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, or related field At ISG, we don’t just accept difference — we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our clients, and our communities.
