Role description
Title: Data Analyst - MDM Location: NJ (Onsite) Must have MDM experience. Required Skills: β€’ Computer or Information Science or equivalent field β€’ DAMA Data certifications a plus β€’ 10+ years of experience in data Modeling, database design, and data architecture. Experience in the Travel and Hospitality industry a plus. β€’ Proficient in Data Lineage / Modeling tools (ER Studio). Informatica toolsets including Data Archive, EDC, Oracle database. β€’ Expert understanding of Data Warehouse design for high volume processing and performance. β€’ Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools utilization including Tableau, and/or Microsoft Power BI. β€’ Bachelor’s or master’s degree specialized in areas related to Information and Data management and Design. β€’ 10 years of deep data Modeling and architecture experience β€’ Data Modeling, Data lineage, Data standards β€’ In addition to other duties/functions, this position requires full commitment and support for promoting ethical and compliant culture. β€’ More specifically, this position requires integrity, honesty, and respectful treatment of others, as well as a willingness to speak up when they see misconduct or have concerns. Responsibilities: β€’ Design, develop, and enforce data models and naming standards across all deliverables. Reverse and forward engineer Business legacy data models. β€’ Effectively communicate the technical data integration requirements, design, and decisions that support the functional needs of Data Engineering to both IT and Business members via verbal or documentation. β€’ Reduce data redundancy consolidation, transformation, and training of Business and IT members. β€’ Design and develop data lineage with / without pre-existing documentation. β€’ Create and maintain current and target state data integration models and flows. β€’ Reverse and Forward engineer Business data models to the level needed for business Analytics usage. β€’ Develop an understanding of Business processes and the corresponding system architecture in order to determine Source system(s) of required data, data relationships, and impacted integrations. β€’ Partner with the Business Intelligence teams in defining the end state reporting goals and/or dashboard requirements. β€’ Design and develop Data models and solutions required to meet them. β€’ Ensure Design documentation includes appropriate Business rules and facilitates data Security, Quality, Lineage, and Harmonization. β€’ Support testing and deployment activities as required. β€’ Assist in developing and then meet agreed-upon deadlines and perform other project duties as assigned. Single point of contact for data related questions, and quality. β€’ Communicate technical and non-technical information clearly, concisely, and effectively both orally and in writing. Present findings, recommendations, and specifications in formal reports and/or oral presentations to both Business and IT Teams.
