Job Description:
Support merchant onboarding initiatives through the development, maintenance, and optimization of ETL and data integration pipelines. This role is responsible for transforming, validating, and troubleshooting merchant data feeds to ensure accurate ingestion into downstream systems.
Work closely with Technical Account Managers, Product, and Engineering teams to onboard new merchants, implement data solutions, and maintain data quality across multiple integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and ETL experience, be comfortable working with large datasets, and possess strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Job Functions:
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot ETL and data integration pipelines supporting merchant onboarding initiatives.
• Analyze merchant data feeds including JSON, XML, CSV, TXT, and flat-file formats and transform them into standardized schemas.
• Develop and maintain SQL-based transformation logic within Databricks using Spark SQL.
• Create and maintain data mapping specifications, transformation rules, and validation processes.
• Validate data quality, completeness, and accuracy across ingestion pipelines and downstream systems.
• Investigate data issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation solutions.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Technical Account Management teams to deliver merchant integrations.
• Support multiple concurrent merchant onboarding projects while meeting established timelines and deliverables.
• Document transformation logic, mapping requirements, operational procedures, and technical specifications.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and enhanced pipeline reliability.
Skills/Abilities:
• Strong SQL and data querying skills.
• Experience with ETL development, data integration, and pipeline support.
• Knowledge of Databricks and Spark SQL preferred.
• Strong understanding of data transformation, schema mapping, and data validation concepts.
• Experience working with JSON, XML, CSV, TXT, and flat-file data structures.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and data specifications.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience:
• 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, Data Integration, or a related field.
• Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting production data pipelines.
• Experience integrating third-party or merchant data feeds preferred.
• Experience supporting production systems and operational troubleshooting preferred.
• Experience with Databricks and flat-file integrations is a plus.
