About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst II to join our People Insights, Technology & Analytics team. In this role, you will leverage your analytical expertise to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and enhance business outcomes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business intelligence specialists, and HR stakeholders, to analyze complex datasets related to employee and organizational metrics. Your responsibilities will include data cleaning, manipulation, visualization, and storytelling to translate raw data into meaningful narratives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in SQL, intermediate skills in Tableau, and experience in data cleaning and analytics. Qualifications • Proficient in SQL for complex data manipulation and querying • Experience in data cleaning and preprocessing to ensure data accuracy and consistency • Intermediate skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau • Experience with Python or R for data analysis and automation (intermediate level) • Strong understanding of People Insights & Analytics concepts • Experience working with large datasets and data storytelling • Familiarity with HR technology platforms (e.g., Workday, Greenhouse) is a plus • Knowledge of version control tools like GitHub or GitLab is advantageous • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams • Prior experience in analytics roles focusing on employee or organizational data is highly preferred Responsibilities • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand their data needs and represent People Insights perspectives accurately • Clean, preprocess, and validate data to ensure high-quality inputs for analysis • Manipulate large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to business objectives • Create compelling visualizations and dashboards using Tableau to communicate findings effectively • Engage in data storytelling by developing narratives that facilitate understanding and decision-making • Support the development of reports and presentations that highlight key insights for leadership and teams • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize data processes and improve analytical workflows • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging tools in data analytics and visualization Benefits • Competitive hourly pay rate of $50 - $55 on W2 basis • Opportunity to work remotely within the Palo Alto, CA location • Engagement in impactful projects within a leading analytics team • Collaborative and innovative work environment • Potential for contract extension based on performance and project needs • Access to professional development and growth opportunities Equal Opportunity Akraya is an equal opportunity employer.
