Data Analyst II
Houston, TX - Onsite/Hybrid
Contract - 3+ Months
Job Description: Summary:
The main function of a Data Analyst is to modeling efforts around project risk management as well as asset health and operations risk. This role will be supporting the Enterprise Risk Management and Insurance Risk Management offices with upcoming projects.
Job Responsibilities:
β’ Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategies
β’ Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system
β’ Develop local database and integrate with various internal applications and external sources to query, store, and process data
Required Skills:
β’ Experience with developing database technologies
β’ Knowledge of at least one scripting language including Python and related packages (e.g.NumPy, etc)
β’ Experience with at Risk software (highly preferred)
β’ MS Projects/MS Dynamics (highly preferred)
β’ Tableau or Power BI
β’ Snowflake
β’ Strong written and oral communication skills
β’ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
β’ Demonstrated history of success
β’ Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions
Preferred Skills:
β’ Experience working in utilities, electric, and/or natural gas preferred
β’ Familiarity with AI in a professional setting
β’ SAP
β’ Basic knowledge of statistics and Monte Carlo simulation techniques
Education/Experience:
β’ Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
β’ 2-4 years applicable experience required
